A Christian woman's journey through singleness, healing and faith.

How do we hold on to God when we feel behind, rejected, unheard, unseen and misunderstood?

Through poems, Britny Virginia covers the most painful and beautiful parts of the paths she'd taken and how Christ is her firm foundation through it all. May you be blessed by this collection.

Her Laughter Will Be Therapy to Her Lover’s Soul is a poetic biographical journey of womanhood, body dysmorphia, healing from trauma, singleness, friendships, and faith.

Unfortunately, many of us women have been facing the sting of what’s meant to be a beautifully season of singleness, but it’s turned to silent and unspoken pain. Pain of not having a spouse we pray for, pain of navigating adult friendships, pain of battling beauty standards and body types and healing from childhood trauma, but in it all there’s a Saviour so true, so honest, so glorious in the pain with us. These poems are meant to help give voice and words to those women who feel unheard and gently draw you to our merciful Heavenly Father but also sit with you instead of lecturing you through. It’s meant to help show the normalcy of hormones and the ups and downs of journeying through life from a timid young girl into a bold confident woman.

Speaking to many women of faith who have experienced similar things, Britny wants to show you’re not alone and we’re in this together and there is hope even in the pain. Its hopeful, beautifully crafted letters for a love she’ll one day receive. The anthropology is broken up into six categories about the process of being content in ones’ own skin.

Britny Virginia boldly encapsulates the difficulty of healing, accepting herself, the longing for romantic connection, and how faith keeps her grounded in the woos of life. She writes with depths, striking and honest words. Some poems are inspired her Saint Lucian heritage with a few Creole words that adds authenticity and depths.
